A FITTING FAREWELL

I’m a funeral celebrant who specialises in marking the end of a life with a dignified, personalised and inclusive ceremony.

Everyone matters, and everyone has a story to tell. I became a funeral celebrant to enable people’s life stories to have one last public airing.

Each funeral ceremony I conduct is personally written to capture and honour the life and the essence of your loved one. There’s no one size fits all, and every funeral should be unique to reflect the person and their personality.

Based in Cockermouth, I am happy to conduct ceremonies across North and West Cumbria and beyond. I will meet with you – in person, or online if you wish – before the funeral to help understand what you want for the ceremony and to get to know you and your loved one so we can centre the ceremony around them.

Feel free to contact me directly or through your Funeral Director with whom I will work closely to ensure that you have the most appropriate farewell, be that at a crematorium, a burial, or even a celebration of life at a later date. I am happy to incorporate elements of faith and spirituality such as readings and hymns if you’d like to include them, but the choice is yours.

And if you don’t know what you want, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, or you just want someone to talk to, call me and I will support you through your options. I understand how difficult this time is for you and will do my best to help reduce your burden, guiding you through the process of creating a ceremony that fully reflects the person at its heart.
